Our charity making dreams come true: free trips, Christmas magic and a helping hand for families across Hyndburn.

Our mission

Making impossible dreams possible

Founded by Mickii and run alongside Tipsy Cows, Nothing Is Impossible brings joy and lasting memories to children, families and older people across Hyndburn.

It has run 95 free trips and counting, from Disneyland Paris to a Harry Potter steam train ride, Blackpool and Llandudno. Families are nominated by the people who know them, such as teachers, neighbours, social workers and friends, and Mickii and the team plan each trip personally.

Tipsy Cows puts a lot of its profits back into the community, so every table, hamper and party night helps fund the next trip.

The highlight

A dream trip to Disneyland Paris

Nothing Is Impossible took 70 people to Disneyland Paris for two nights, many of them children travelling with their mums, including Ukrainian families.

Mickii calls it the highlight of the year: very special, and memorable for everyone who went.

He helped pay for Disneyland trips the hard way too, running to Manchester and back, 68 miles in a single day.

Theme parks, seaside days and steam trains for children and families who wouldn’t otherwise get the chance.

Christmas toy giveaway

A big night every December, with carol singers, a brass band and toys given free to children across Hyndburn.

Pensioners’ days out

Free days out to Blackpool, Llandudno and beyond for local pensioners. Friendships made, and a lot of singing.

Equipment for families

Life-changing equipment, such as a remote-controlled bed for a disabled child, that makes daily life safer and easier.

Epic challenges

Ultra runs, a Channel relay and sponsored swims by young supporters, all to fund the next trip.

Community support

Helping local families through hard times, and welcoming Ukrainian families on our trips.

Christmas 2025

Last Christmas, three big days

  1. Monday 1 December

    Pensioners’ big Christmas day out

    61 guests went to Blackpool for fish, chips and peas at Harry Ramsden’s, ballroom dancing at the Tower and, by popular demand, the Hard Rock Cafe with Johnny Rocks.

  2. Sunday 14 December

    Children’s winter wonderland

    61 children took a steam train to Yorkshire to visit Father Christmas, meet his elves, feed the reindeer and go home with lots of toys.

  3. Monday 22 December

    The Big Toy Giveaway

    At Churchfield House, opened by BBC Radio Lancashire’s Graham Liver, with free pizza and hot drinks and a colossal pile of toys for the children of Great Harwood and Hyndburn.

Looking ahead

Christmas 2026 and beyond

The planning has already started. Every penny from our Chris Shearer psychic nights goes to Nothing Is Impossible, to pay for another pensioners’ trip and children’s trip this Christmas.

In April 2026 we welcomed Sue and John, who bring the qualifications and experience to help the charity grow and make an even bigger difference in our community.

Where it all began

The stories behind the name

Long before the Disneyland trips, “nothing is impossible” was simply how Mickii lived. He picked these five videos himself. They were filmed on a phone and first shared on Facebook between 2014 and 2020, and each one shows the spirit behind the charity.

Preston · December 2014

Walking in their shoes

In December 2014 Mickii spent 14 days and nights living rough in Preston, filming as he went. He wanted to feel what people on the streets feel, from the embarrassment and loneliness to the kindness and the hostility, and to show that everyone sleeping in a doorway has a story.

The film raised thousands of pounds, and it went straight back to the people in it: starter packs, clothes, food and daily essentials, then second-hand beds, fridges and furniture, fresh bedding and a month’s bus pass so they could get to work until their first pay day. Mickii worked alongside a programme that helps people from the streets through rehab to a home of their own.

One man he met had been sleeping in a bus-shelter stairwell; he went on to be looked after in a mental health shelter. Another had been living in a skip behind a shopping centre. With a little love, guidance and patience he completed rehab, and found a home, a new family and work. Mickii has called getting people back on their feet his biggest achievement.

The same thinking is behind the Christmas appeal. A hamper and toys for a single mum, a family or a pensioner close to the edge can keep them away from payday loans and debt for the rest of the year. Prevention, Mickii says, is key.

September 2016

A surprise for Emma

Emma had been getting around in a standard wheelchair, and it was taking away her independence. She set out to find sponsors for a mobility scooter herself, and people were generous, raising over £300, but it was nowhere near enough.

So Nothing Is Impossible surprised her with a brand-new scooter. Watch her face when she realises it’s hers.

Out on the road

Long days on the road have always been part of the Nothing Is Impossible story, from Mickii’s 68-mile run to Manchester and back to 100 miles in a single day.

Twenty times up Caterpillar Hill

Mickii called this one of the best videos he’s ever made. Jonathan, one of the sponsored members at Mickii’s gym, hauled himself up and over Caterpillar Hill, a stack of padded blocks, 20 times in his first session.

He’d never sweated so much or worked so hard, and he loved every minute. Determination, effort and tenacity, all in one session.

A big boy bed for Christmas

For Mickii, this is what Christmas is about: choosing toys and hoping a little boy would love them, then building his new bed one December night with his friend Krish.

The look on his face as he climbed into his big boy bed for the first time was, in Mickii’s words, priceless. “The little things that last a lifetime.”
